An Idea in Development
When the money system fails a trade, the trade has always made its own
This page is about an idea, not a product. There is nothing to buy here and nothing being offered.
The Conder Tokens
Britain industrialised faster than the Royal Mint could keep up. There was simply not enough small coin to pay a day's wages. The Crown did not fix it. So merchants, mine owners and manufacturers struck their own copper tokens — backed by nothing but the reputation of the business whose name was pressed into the metal — and commerce kept moving on them for twenty years.
The same shortage
A trucker delivers a load on Monday and cannot touch the money for six weeks. The value exists. The work is done. What is missing is a way to hold it in your hand when the fuel is due. Banks do not understand the trade well enough to solve it, and the industry that stepped in built contracts you cannot read and cannot leave.
The Idea
Help is not coming from outside
That sentence is the foundation this association was built on, and it is not a slogan. It is an observation about how every improvement in the working life of truckers has ever actually arrived.
Nobody minted the Conder Tokens on behalf of the merchants. The merchants minted them because waiting had stopped being a strategy. The tokens worked for exactly one reason: the people who accepted them knew the people who issued them. Trust was not a feature of the currency. Trust was the currency.
An association of truckers is the only body that could plausibly hold that kind of trust for this trade. Not a bank, which does not understand the work. Not a factor, whose margin depends on your patience. A body that answers to the people using it.
The Question
What it would have to do to be worth building
An idea like this is only worth pursuing if it solves the actual problem, and the actual problem is narrow and specific: the gap between doing the work and holding the money.
Anything that closes that gap and settles what a trucker really spends on — fuel, tolls, permits, repairs, compliance filings — would be worth the effort. Anything that merely adds a speculative layer on top of the same six-week wait would not be. That is the test, and it is the test we intend to hold this to.
Traditional factoring stays the foundation regardless. Nothing here is a replacement for getting paid in dollars.

If this gets built, it gets built with truckers in the room

This page describes an idea under consideration by the Truck Owners and Drivers Association. It is not an offer to sell or a solicitation of an offer to buy any security, token, or financial instrument, and no such offering exists. Nothing here is investment advice.
